I have found that it is very helpful to have a brief background in the principles of Analytical Psychology and an overview of the types of issues and topics address in Jungian-oriented psychotherapy.

These books provide a general overview of Jungian psychodynamic orientation and a helpful guide to some of the typical topics addressed in therapy. I can highly recommend them.

All books can be found in paperback through Barnes & Noble or Amazon.

Under Saturn’s Shadow - Is of particular interest in the exploration of the masculine psyche.

Practical Jung - “The nuts and bolts of Jungian Psychology”..

Modern Man in Search of a Soul - Jung’s analysis of the problems of the modern collective and of the individual’s struggles to find a meaningful place in it.

The Undiscovered Self - “A passionate plea for individual integrity”.
